Inclusive play units from Safe & Sound Playgrounds are exactly what they say they are. They are safe, fun, challenging and innovative and they must, as all ours do, conform to the Disability Discrimination Act 2004 and the Equality Act 2010.

Inclusive play, i.e. play for children, teenagers and young adults of all levels of skill and agility ensures that the play experience is available to anyone and guarantees no segregation or discrimination in the play equipment you make available to children of all ages with impairments or disabilities.

Constructed from high quality timber and either stainless or zinc-sprayed and powder-coated steel, each inclusive play unit conforms to the rigorous standards of BS EN 1176, the general safety requirements of swings, slides, runways, carousels and rocking equipment.

• Plans and designs allow for the free movement of wheelchairs and pushchairs, including wider gates
• We can include additional sensory features such as sand and water
• Children and young people don’t want to be singled out as different, regardless of their differences. Our inclusive play units offer a wide range of standard play functions that allow children, teenagers and young adults of all abilities to play together
