GSWeb rope was originally developed for cable-supported pedestrian bridges. In addition to their unique strength, their soft touch, variety of colors, and unique elasticity have added play value, safety and long life to this great range of playground equipment. The high-quality polyamide material used in GSWeb rope makes them pleasant to the touch. abrasion-resistant and color fast (light fastness to Degree 8, the highest for this texture).The ropes used in GSWeb products are 20mm and 22mm dia, polyamide rope cable with UV protection and fire retardant. Edge ropes comprise a solid core of wound stainless steel cables around a stainless steel core, giving 168 strands in total. All other ropes consists of 6 strands, each made of 24 stainless steel reinforcing strands within a polyamide sleeve, wrapped around a solid polyamide core: 144 strands in total, with a strength of 1770N/mm.

Joints are one-piece solid aluminum spheres, compressed in place with 150,000 pounds force (667 kN) to form a solidly locked permanent wear-free joint.

Masts are at the heart of almost every GSWeb product. They engineered for strength and rigidity, to inhibit structural oscillation and keep the structure stable. The masts are made of high-quality seamless steel, hot-dip galvanized and powder coated as standard.

Mast caps are made of MC(Monomer Cast) nylon. Where edge ropes cross the mast cap, they’re anchored by means of U-bolts with nuts and washers inside the mast.

Hot-dip galvanised turnbuckles are massive and durable. They’re fitted with self-locking nuts and counter nuts, and are specially produced for use with GSWeb products. Every edge rope connection includes an additional safety rope. In the unlikely event that one of the main connections fails, the safety rope guarantees the tability and safety of the equipment.

The Net Climber stands on a robust and rigid locator, which reduces critical stress on tensioned elements, especially on turnbuckles and ground anchors.

Where appropriate, textile-reinforced rubber membranes, completely surround the mast to fill in openings in the net, preventing entrapments.


Ground anchors and mounting plates are hot-dipped galvanised steel. Corner anchors have multiple connection points to allow for adjustability of the turnbuckles as well as connection of the safety rope. Centre mast anchors have a stub post that stabilises the mast, and an anchor ring that secures the assembly to the concrete foundation.
